Rabka-Zdrój is a well known health (spa) resort and a center of winter sports. It is located in Malopolska Province, on the banks of the Raba River, at the foothills of the Gorce Mountains. Thanks to location amongst wooded slopes it is protected from strong winds and has large namber of sunny days throughont the year. Both the microclimat and the natural springs are beneficia in treatment of circulatory and respiratory problems. There is a large number of sanatoria (mostly for children), hospitals, comfortable Bed & Breakfasts, a center for natural healing and acces to local spring waters. Childrens puppet theater "Rabcio" entertains the litle ones, while the city it self is an excellent starting point for many walking trips in to the Gorce mountains.
